How to Find YOUR Perfect Contour Shade! + Contouring Tips! | Everyday People Makeup Tips

Contouring was always scary for me. What shade do I use? Where does it even go?? I’m going to break it down for you so that ANYONE of ANY skin tone or face shape will know exactly what color to use and where to place it on your face. It’s easier than you think!

*Two things I want to add – Your contour shade should be about 2 shades darker than your skin tone. Be careful not to go too dark! You also want to make sure you use a MATTE contour shade, not a shimmery one!

*And one more thing regarding my makeup look in this video – I’m getting comments that you can’t see my contour in the finished look. This was on purpose! A chiseled, visible contour looks great on video and in IG photos, but for everyday people (the intended audience of this video) it is my opinion that it should be blended and natural. You can see it up close, but not from far away.

I’ve heard that you should blend contour up to keep it from looking muddy. Just advice! Looks great! And I love WnW’s megaflop highlighters too, and Milani’ blush with rose imprint. Just if anyone is looking for affordable drugstore options to round out their look!!!!
